Kayak CoursesHey guys - this is mainly for the (fake) freshers, I was just wondering if anyone was interested in doing some basic courses. Had an e-mail from my cousin who is doing the old Level 3 course and he's asked me if anyone would be interested in doing it, or he's also doing the new UKCC Level 1 & 2.
Have no idea about dates or cost yet but was just putting this out there for ppl.
In addition to this if anyone wants to do any other types of courses (safety, rescue, Levels etc) let me know and if there are a few of us he'll do one, which will be quite usefull to have before we head off to the Alps - think all he's after if it's just a course for us poor students is a bloody good night out in Brum.
So if you're interested let me know.

What do the courses involved?
I'd be interested in some stuff, depends on the dates though due to impending Thesis deadlines, and exams

The rescue course is for rescuing other people. You need one on rescuing yourself!!

a few of us did a course in first year, it was really useful actually.
I think it was safety and rescue, tho not sure 
Involved learning to use a throwline, then different swimming techniques and stuff like that, really hands on and loads of fun.
I'd recommend something like that for the freshers
