Alps info...Guys,
The hire cars are now all booked, leaving just the insurance to organise. The organisers will arrange travel and sports insurance for all the members of the party travelling out with us.
All the other members of the party making their own arrangements need to organise their own insurance.
Not long to go now....

Andy; does the insurance your sorting out, for all those travelling out with the club, cover posessions I.e. if someone just happened to loose their boat down a river or if it was stolen etc....?? Does it cover cam corders, digital cameras etc? Or do we need extra insurance for this?

Ed, the insurance we are looking at should cover personal possessions up to a certain value. As we have not yet finalised which insurace we are going to go with, we are unable to confirm either way. Your best bet is to chat with Caz, as she is the person in charge of organising it for us.

home insuranceEdsco, check your house insurance policy, ours covers us for this sort of stuff even when you are away from home. And if it doesnt for a tiny extra payment you can usually up the amount covered for a month to cover the alps.
Boulters wednesday ed?

After speaking to Caz yesterday I think she has it almost in the bag, but needs to check some of the small print. She said she'll let everyone know when it is sorted. I.e. in the next couple of days was the impression I was left with.
Emski :- Yeah I am up for a Wednesday session at Boulters.

Hey guys, soz for late reply- have been busy revising.....
Anyway, have just been on the phone to STA travel for the second time and they say that they don't offer cover for personal belongings and sports equipment on the sports policy. The cover only extends to illness and personal injury whilst engaging in the sport.
Basically, I'm gonna have to look at other companies now which will be more expensive but hopefully cover everything. I'll let you all know what's going on in a day or two when I get a spare 5 seconds to sort it out.

Caz, it might be worth having a look at Endsleigh for insurance. Something that Emma mentioned whilst at Boulters at Saturday.

Hey everyone, for those of you who haven't replied to my email yet could you please let me know your full name, DOB and any medical conditions asap? I need them in order to book the insurance which I'm hoping to do in the next few days. Think I just need Martyn's, Jethro's, Dave Bocking's and John Allen's details now.
Sorry for missing a few people out on the email list (Martyn, Sion )
Hope you're all okay... not long to go now!!! yay!
