As the year comes to a close, I thought it would be good to remember everyone's best moments of the year.

I have so many fantastic memories from this year, including

Making it out to the Nile in Uganda in September:

A fantastic run down Le Bachelard in the Alps with Jethro:

Another great run down Allt Mheuran:

Seeing Tim make it down Nedd Fechan:

All the rain in the summer making it possible to go paddling almost every weekend:

One memory I don't have a photo of occurred recently at Serpent's Tail on the Dee - seeing Steve-o screw up and clocking up his first whitewater swim.... whilst wearing shorts in November!

As to my best moment of 2008, it has to be ....

...seeing Martyn swimming down Silverback on the Nile:
Quote:
I looked up to see where Martyn was and saw that his boat was still upside down. I only managed to catch a glimpse of it as we were both still going up and down waves. When I next saw it a second or so later I thought I could see the red of Martyn’s helmet in the water next to the upturned boat. I lost sight of it again before I could confirm what I thought. My thought was correct…. Martyn had swam! On the last rapid of the last day of our holiday our trip became complete.

My moments:

Many amusing river trips under Amy and Steve:

The Alps!

Graduating with my best mate Andrew:

Buying my first boat and paddles:

Paddling a crap river (Nene) with Emma, and catching this *huge* fish:

First trip to Hurley:

Paddling the fresher trip without being a fresher:

Paddling my first Grade 4, the Nedd Fechan:

Here's to an equally good, if not better 2009 Smile

Merry Christmas everyone x
