am I the only one to have noticed that our flight out to the alps clashes with the 2nd half of englands opening world cup game
and for all you alps veterans - wots the chances of finding bars to watch the other england group games in??? I know we failed miserable with the rugby last year so do we have any chance????
failing that do you reckon we can get them on world service or something?

a quick search says that simply no.....no "in flight entertainment". looks like you'll be restricted to the mobile to keep track of the score....... _________________ Bite the hand that feeds, Tap the vein that bleeds.... |

Timmy, will that be the mobile that you are not allowed to have switched on whilst on the plane?

Yes, we had the same problem 4 years ago - the match was at something like 7am and we had to set off to the alps then, when everyone else was coming in from the end of term party at 6am and then going straight to the footy. The van radio was crap and LW was appaling so we heard almost none of it. My thoughts are with you...
yes this proves I've been to the alps too many times and I feel old _________________ Emski B |

When that happened the last time I was travelling in the good old rust bucket that was the Escort and had a portable TV with me...just had to keep asking Mr Wilson to keep his eyes on the road not the screen!
