Heya guys

so thats it for another year then...can't exactly say its great to be back in brum cos quite frankly I think I'd prefer to be on the alps. Bloody awesome holiday though guys. Hope everybody enjoyed it! Thanks a lot to everybody who made it happen - especially Andy who worked really hard to sort out the tour and make it as good as it was - much appreciated. Thanks also to all the drivers - coming from someone who didn't drive - I'm very grateful for all the driving you guys did. Old boys - thanks for all your help on and off the river. Commitee - thanks a lot for everything. New Commitee - keep up the good work and I can't wait for the next alps trip.

I'm sure you'll all be pleased to know that the explanation mark made it all the way back to brum (even it did cause a couple of confused looks through customs) and is now residing in the canoe store.

So - as the tour is now over...Favourite river, favourite night, favourite moment???

Favourite river has to be a double whammy of chateau Q and middle guil for me - awesome fun.

Favourite night is a toss up between club meal and random festival in embrun night I think.

Photos - see other thread!!!

Keep in touch guys - keep posting on here and cya all soon

Steve

I would just like to re-emphasise Steve's initial post and extend my thanks to Andy et al for organising the Alps 2006 trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I was there for it, minus the broken finger!!

Andy I dont think you had it particular easy this year but I think you have pulled it off magnificently. Hats off to you sir.

I have defo got the kayaking bug back now so anyone up for a cheeky paddle in the near future, make yourself known on the forum I.e. arrangements, where your thinking about going etc and hopefully everyone should have plenty of notice to get their arse to wherever.

Hope to see you all soon; Take it easy.

Cheers me dears

The Sco

sight ill never forget. Useless and rickys faces after I went over the last drop on GA backwards upsidedown doing the line everyone stays well clear of.

have a wicked summer boys and girls and hopefully you'll all be up for loads of boating next year.

What stuff? Why don't you clear it all up for us once and for all?

Anyway, yes a good trip Mr Potter. Unfortunately all the Alps trips roll into one for me now. Will I make it trip 6 next year?

well all the "stuff" I know about is that dave apparently saw claire and a certain portsmouth guy wandering to the toilets together not once but twice at the canoe control party. Their intentions and what actually happened I will leave to everyone else to decide....

Nothing happened at canoe control. I was just chatting to the Portsmouth guys.

...then made up the rest of what he said about that night to tease me with.

Timmy what were your favourite bits from the holiday?
